Welcome to St Bartholomew’s!

known as "the Cathedral of the Colne Valley"

We are a friendly group of Christians meeting regularly in this beautiful Parish Church, set in the lovely Pennine village of Marsden.

We would love you to join us in our worship and to take part, with us, in this spiritual journey of exploration of the Christian faith.

Sunday 3 August:
8.30am: Morning Prayer - a said service lasting about 30 minutes.
10.00: All Age Worship and Baptisms, when we will also welcome three new members of the Church, along with their families and friends - Evie May BOWKER, Lily Grace BUCKLEY and Orla Maria Claire LAMONT. St Bart's Music Group will also play at this service.
At approximately 11.30: Holy Communion in the Lady Chapel (said service).
From 2.00 to 4.00pm the Marsden Remembers Exhibition is open (where you can also buy your ticket for the Open Gardens event).
6.30pm: Evensong.
We now have a said service of Morning Prayer at 8.30am every Sunday.

We are still supporting THE WELCOME CENTRE at the Methodist Mission in Huddersfield. This is a food bank for families in crisis that are referred to them by frontline professionals.

If you wish to contribute to the food bank's work there is a box at the back of church for your contributions. You can bring items any time the church is open - Sundays (9.45-11.15am), Tuesdays (9.15 -10.15am).

At present they are particular short of Shampoo, Toothpaste, Shower Gel, Tinned Meat Meals, Tinned Fish, Tinned Fruit, Stock Cubes, Fish/Meat Paste, Cereal, Crackers, Jam, Cuppa Soup.   Also - good household items, including tin openers, pans and bedding.

Thank you.
